In the system pictured here, dual 1300 gallon cisterns are installed in tandem below grade with a single submersible pump. The pump output is connected with the landscape irrigation and is controlled via Keep It Green's Base Control Panel. This particular system employs harvested rainwater as a supplemental water source to municipal water for the irrigation system. Keep It Green's Base Control Panel integrates with the irrigation control system/timer to automatically run the irrigation from the rainwater. If the water level in the cistern is too low, then our control panel seamlessly shuts off power to the cistern pump and allows the irrigation to run as usual from municipal water. In this manner, the irrigation system will only run from municipal water if there is insufficient rainwater in the cistern.
